Overview

Founded in 2017, Nómadas is a boutique, global consulting firm (read small, remote, and agile). We clarify data mystification, unveil empirical decisions, and inspire data-driven action (read be useful, don’t confuse people). 
 

Nómadas performs a variety of functions at various points along the lifecycle of data in an organization. We support enterprise clients in media, digital, and sustainability and work with non-profit organizations we’re passionate about around the world. Clients in NYC, Los Angeles, London, Amsterdam, Madrid, Berlin, Dubai, Singapore, Buenos Aires, and Auckland. Current and past clients include MTV, Nickelodeon, VH1, BET, ComedyCentral, HappyCow, Conservation Volunteers, Intrepid Museum, and Little Ram Oyster Co.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to support a variety of clients and projects with an initial focus on product analytics of websites and media apps. You’ll likely be partnered on client projects with 1 or 2 other peers at a time. Your title and compensation will be commensurate with your experience and skill sets.

Responsibilities

​

  • Work with clients to translate business problems into data-driven solutions

  • Distill findings into clear, concise presentations, dashboards, and/or recommendations

  • Utilize a moderate degree of data visualization skills in order to illustrate findings

  • Communicate and partner effectively with data engineers and non-data folks equally

  • Train client stakeholders and teams on usability of data sets and dashboards

  • Perform market analysis, competitive analysis, and ROI models

  • Analyze a variety of data types including digital, social media, marketing, SEO, and basic financial 

  • Identify data integrity issues during the course of analysis

  • Proactively find creative solutions to tired problems 

  • Regularly learn new tools and methods and adapt to those suggested by others

  • Be your own project manager

  • Sometimes be your own data quality assurance resource/investigator

 

Soft Skills

​

  • Thrive on change and adapt happily

  • Experience working directly with clients or at an agency

  • Ability to gingerly disagree with a client and redirect energy to a productive path

  • Driven by your work having an impact and value

  • Inherently prioritize getting the message across over appearing intelligent

  • Prefer to build up others over feeding self ego 

  • Provide custom recommendations and solutions, not just toss data over the fence

 

Hard Skills

​

  • Expertise in Excel required

  • Deep experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar required

  • Experience in Tableau or similar tool a plus

  • Experience with large datasets and SQL a plus

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a business data analyst role ideal

  • Amount of money you paid a higher education establishment for a degree not relevant, but be able to show a 3rd party validation of your skills
