We’re looking for a data validation analyst to support a variety of clients and projects. You’ll likely be partnered on client projects with 1 or 2 other peers at a time.  Your title and compensation will be commensurate with your experience and skill sets.

Responsibilities

​

  • Download beta versions of apps to mobile devices and connected TVs and setup proxy settings to enable viewing data sent out of the apps via a personal computer.

  • Validate that data sent from one system to another is accurate against the specification documentation. Steps and tools used:

    • Use a mobile app, connected tv app, or website to execute specific use cases to generate the data in need of validation

    • View this data sent using an internal proprietary monitoring tool as well as debugging software

    • Compare the data against the provided specification document

    • Document any differences in a specific issue reporting format to be input in a ticketing system (JIRA)

  • Validate that the data viewable in a web interface is within an acceptable variance to previous data set. Steps and tools used:

    • Log into Adobe Analytics to view test data against existing data set

    • If necessary to quantify the discrepancies, export the data to compare them in Excel

    • Document any notable differences in a specific issue reporting format to be input in a ticketing system (JIRA)

    • Create a report view in Adobe Analytics for each bug that highlights the issue to be used for acceptance testing once the bug is resolved

  • Regularly report progress and status in a concise, high-level format

  • If specification is uncertain, quickly raise blockers and request clarification

Hard Skills

​​

  • Experience with Charles, Fiddler, Chrome Web Developer tools, or similar

  • Experience with data management, governance, or analysis

  • Experience using proxy settings on mobile apps and connected tv apps a plus

  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence a plus

  • Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar digital data reporting interface a plus

  • 1+ years of experience in an engineering or data-centric role

  • Amount of money you paid a higher education establishment for a degree not relevant
